MaxiSeguridad
The ransomware group qilin named MaxiSeguridad (Argentina) on its leak site on 23 Oct 2026. This is the group's own claim: it has not been verified by Cyfenced or Ransomware.live, and some claims turn out to be exaggerated, recycled or false.
[ Status ]Has the attack been confirmed?
No public statement from MaxiSeguridad or press report of a cyber incident in 2026 was found at the time of writing.
[ The organisation ]Who is MaxiSeguridad?
- What it does
- MaxiSeguridad is a fire protection and security company that sells and recharges fire extinguishers and maintains fire suppression and detection systems. It also offers fire brigade training, fire load studies and fire safety audits, maintenance of CCTV and access control systems, and engineering and installation for fire protection projects.
- Based in
- Munro, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina
- Who it serves
- Its customers include companies and industrial sites, residential buildings managed by consortia, small and medium businesses, shops, shipping companies and public agencies.
[ Impact ]Who could be affected
An attack on a fire safety contractor could delay inspections, extinguisher recharges or maintenance visits that customers rely on to keep buildings safe and compliant. Records of customer sites, including details of fire and security systems such as CCTV and access control, could be at risk if the claim is accurate. Building managers and businesses could face delays in receiving certificates or reports.
In professional services generally: Law firms, accountants and consultants hold their clients' confidential documents, so clients can be exposed even when they were never attacked themselves.

[ What to do ]If you are a customer, partner or neighbour
- Check that scheduled fire extinguisher recharges, inspections and system maintenance are still on track and keep your own copies of certificates.
- If MaxiSeguridad maintains your CCTV or access control, ask whether remote access credentials could be affected and change them if needed.
- Confirm any change to bank details or payment requests from the company by phoning a known contact.
- Be wary of unexpected calls or emails offering urgent inspections or equipment that claim to come from the company.
